Cape Cod Happening This Weekend: Feb 3 – Feb 5 2012

There is a lot going on around the cape this weekend! The big game is Sunday creating a fever pitch of energy around here of late, with lots of parties and other football related events happening. However for those of you who are not in the mood for pre, during and post game partying, never fear … there is plenty to do otherwise. Here are a few of our favorites to share with you.  Remember no matter what you choose, relax and enjoy! Go Pats!

KIDS/FAMILY

The Woods Hole Public Library at 581 Woods Hole Rd, continues their Kids Winter Film Series at 3pm on Saturday, February 4. This event is FREE and the film will be shown in the lower level meeting room. The Library cannot divulge the movie title in print but it is based on a honey-loving furry fellow from the book by A.A. Milne. He has become loved by generations of children, both here and in England, where he was created along with his friend Christopher Robin.  For additional information please call the library at 508-548-8961. Running with the Dogs

Did you know that according to the American Pet Products Association (APPA), 62% of US households own a pet? That equates to 72.9 million homes, which equates to a very healthy pet product and service industry!

We are fortunate here on the Cape to have access to a close knit community of providers that cater to the care and well being of our animals. As our first Happening Pets feature we wanted to introduce CapeK9Cardio a premier pet sitting business based out of East Falmouth. We had the pleasure of meeting with Jason and Laura Michaud, owners of CapeK9Cardio. Not only do they offer pet care services for when owners are away from home, but they have an attitude towards pet health that rivals that of us humans … running is good for the soul. They bring a feverish energy and unparalleled passion to what they do and after spending time with them, you can understand why their business is such a success. (more…)

The streets are quiet but for the occasional car driving by and yet I can feel the houses looking back at me as I stroll past. We become where we live, and these houses can tell some wonderful stories! A beautiful evening walk with Willie and that familiar feeling of freedom helps to clear the senses. I realize that everything truly appears so interconnected, as I come home to find this quote I reference above on my computer … and voila, a lovely idea is born for beginning this new journey! Angels? Perhaps; but why not take a walk and decide for yourself. (more…)
